New Exciting News!!!

KVMD TV, Los Angeles has mentioned that they are willing to renew the TV broadcast agreement with Cineplex Studios and extend it out for another full year which will take us to about August of 2014!!!  More details on this as they become available.

Destiny First Run Success!

Preliminary numbers of the mid season finale look really good (in real time) during the online broadcast Thursday night.  Also for the first time we were getting real time international viewers from as far away as Athens Greece and Cairo Egypt!  The viewer number has continued to remain high during the replays of the mid season finale as well.  These strong numbers we are seeing is a very good sign that Destiny might have another season beyond the initial 12 episodes we are slated for.  Several cast members have already agreed to continue in their respective roles in the series.

Destiny Mid Season Break

Destiny will now enter the re-run cycle online and on TV, as filming continues through the end of summer this year.  Currently you can catch Destiny Saturday mornings at 6:30 am and Sunday mornings at 2 am on KVMD TV.  Also for you viewing convenience, Destiny will continue showing at http://www.cineplexstudios.com as video on demand for free.

Hawaii Production of Leilani

Many people have been inquiring about the Leilani production.  Formal talks are continuing this weekend for the production of Leilani, a Hawaiian based story that has been created by Fred Copeland and Tuti Kanahele.  Leilani currently is being looked at as a new series that will be filmed in Hawaii.  Besides the fantastic filming location, one of the unique things about this series is, it will be filmed using the native Hawaiian language and will be sub-titled in English.

Norma Louise to Direct Destiny

Episode 4 of Destiny is scheduled to begin filming in the coming days and Norma Louise in her directing debut is set to make her mark on the series by directing an entire episode.  Norma has been with Cineplex Studios for about a year and was recently cast as one of the leading roles in Destiny.  Her character is Journey, who is also known as the ‘First One’.

After earning a degree in marketing and spending a few years working in the music business, Norma set her acting career in motion.  Over the next several years, she trained with some of the top acting coaches in Hollywood.  Her credits include small roles in television shows, student films, independent productions, and a national McDonald’s commercial.  Currently, Norma is starring in the web series, Destiny for Cineplex Studios, an online TV network.

This will be the last episode to be filmed this year for the series.  Filming will start back up in mid January, about the same time as the debut of Destiny and the Circle of Influence premieres.

The Future. A world that seems to be frozen in time, where clones of an ancient Egyptian civilization now walk the Earth with powers that no one has seen or dealt with for thousands of years. These clones were created by a small team of DNA scientists lead by Kimberly Moore. The clones quickly adapted to their new world and soon began to take control over the human mortals. Through natural genetic selection, only the female clones survived.

Humans all over the planet fear the clones and their abilities. Distrust is everywhere. A new World Presidency was created to deal with this global threat from the clones and their quest for power and world domination. The people of Earth now find themselves in a struggle to coexist with the female clones from a dead civilization, a civilization and culture that has been dead for centuries.

These clones call themselves…The Journeys.

Destiny Released Date Set

Mark the date, Thursday, January 10th, 7pm PT for one showing only,  for the season premier of Destiny and the Circle of Influence, starring Angelica Montesano, John William King & Nina  Kaczorowski.

In the premier episode Kaylee O’Conner (Angelica Mentesano) who is running for a U.S. Senate seat debates giving up her run for it, to join forces with Senator Harland who has teamed up with Senator Journey Mooreen (from the Destiny series), played by Norma Louise.

These powerful Senators have decided to go after a group of scientist who are trying to clone humans from ancient Egyptian DNA.   Only Senator Mooreen knows what the future holds for everyone.

This special episode will be followed by the regular season of Destiny.  Details coming soon.

A Destiny ‘Special Moment’

We had a very special moment on location this week as JoAnna Selby, who plays the title role of Destiny, was joined by her real life mother, Joy Selby, playing Liz, the mother to Destiny.  This was a spacial moment for all involved with this scene and Joy was wonderful to work with.  Look for more tender moments with this mother and daughter team in future episodes of Destiny.

The Journeys TV Episodes

The Journeys

Episodes of The Journeys Trilogy One is now available streaming online at www.cineplexstudios.com, for the first time ever, starring Angelica Montesano.  New episodes will be uploaded the following Monday after the weekend airing on KXLA TV & KVMD TV, Los Angeles.  These episodes will be the exact same ones that have aired on TV, complete with commercials.

Starting Sept. 1st at 2am, The Journeys Trilogy 1.5 premieres, starring Angelica Montesano and Amanda Marie Rose Copeland.

Destiny Series Announcements

Filming for the Destiny series, season 6 of The Journeys, starring JoAnna Selby will start back up on Sept 5th.  Look for new screen shots to be added to the photo gallery on our next blog posting on Friday

Preliminary release date has been set for the middle of January 2013 with the KXLA TV, Los Angeles broadcast premiere on January 12th, 2013.
