Multiple Announcements
Thank you for checking in with our blog to see what all the excitement is about!
This year is promising to be the best year ever for Cineplex Studios/Entertainment. Starting with the Journey: Origins web series and then The Journeys, we have built and are the only direct to TV broadcast production/distribution company that has been formed from a simple web series in the country. This is very good news for our share holders.
Our first announcement is that we have decided to wrap the science fiction series Destiny later this year with 12 complete episodes, Starring JoAnna Selby, Bella Favela & Savannah Ostler. This has been our best season to date and we are very proud of all the hard work everyone has done on the show. The Destiny series will run on KVMD TV through the end of August this year.
The Destiny series might return in the future but for the moment we will be focusing on other productions, starting with a new series that will tell the back story of Maxine Cordolla, from the Destiny series, played by Bella Favela.

Bella Favela
Bella will also serve as the co-producer of the new series (which has yet to be titled). The new series will be about the life of Maxine Cordolla as a Mexican/American agent before she got involved with the Alignment forces in the Destiny series.
The new series is currently in development and we are looking to start casting in the near future. The structure of the new show will allow for actors and actresses to be in just a single episode or two as guest stars. The new series is scheduled for 12 episodes and will go into production later this year or early next year.
More broadcast channels
Cineplex Entertainment will be adding at least one more broadcast channel here in the Los Angeles area this year. This will allow us to expand our programming to a wider and more divers audience than ever before. In turn we have opened the doors for sponsorships by doing this.
We are in a really good position with the renewal of the KVMD TV agreement that was just signed by the CEO of Cineplex Entertainment and the General Manager of KVMD TV last week. KVMD TV broadcast to over 17 million homes in the Los Angeles area.
More info on the new broadcast channel(s) as it becomes available.
Leilani Production

Kalama as Leilani
Things are moving forward on the Leilani production as well with the announcement of Kalama being cast as Leilani.
Wendy Casey ( the head writer at Cineplex Studios) will be writing the script based on a story from Fred Copeland (who lived in Hawaii for 5 years), with the approval of Tuti Kanahele from the King Kamehameha Schools and the Windward Community College. This series will be shot entirely in the Hawaiian islands by Cineplex Studios.
Leilani is a contemporary story about a young woman and her discovery of her ancestry and the hula.
The initial run of this series will be 4 episodes of 30 minutes long and will be available for sale online.
Acquisitions
Cineplex Studios/Entertainment has reached an agreement with the creator of Witchy Ways to acquire enough rights to move forward with production under the Cineplex Studios/Entertainment banner.

Roxann Wright
Roxann Wight is the creator of Witchy Ways and will serve as the creative consultant. Brandi Aguilar will serve as the series producer and this series is scheduled for an initial run of 6 episodes. Production is scheduled to begin in September this year.
This is our first acquisition and we are very proud and exited to have Roxann and her series with Cineplex Studios/Entertainment.
Additional Programming
The Warlock’s Magic series is going very well and filming continues for episodes 2-4. We have been really impressed with the amount of hits we are getting for this series and the loyal following they are gathering.

Kristina Hagan
Cineplex Entertainment wishes to thank Kristina Hagan for her many tireless hours of work to put together this new live action anime series and debuting it on http://www.cineplexstudios.com and KVMD TV.
Rock Star Cafe will be adding additional episodes in the coming days on http://www.cineplexstudios.com.
In additional to this, Cineplex Entertainment will soon be reaching out to other web series producers to air their shows on KVMD TV starting early September of this year.
We are in the fortunate position to offer this to other producers so that they can get the exposure and the visibility that they need to move their production forward.
Any producers with completed productions can get in on this early before all the available time slots are gone, by emailing us at: programming@cineplexstudios.com .
KVMD TV Programming Expansion
The General Manager of KVMD TV has recently been brought up to speed on the development of the new Real Estate series, Homes Today, that will be hosted by JoAnna Selby, a licensed real estate agent. He has pledged his full support of this new series to Cineplex Entertainment.
This means that we will be adding additional time slots to the station to carry this show.
