This has been one very exciting week here at Cineplex Entertainment!
Announcing the commercial television broadcast debut of The Journeys!
First off we would like to announce that ‘It’s official’! Cineplex Entertainment has made Hollywood history this week by signing the formal agreement to make to leap from web series to commercial television broadcast! All of our web series, music videos and short films will be airing on commercial television here in the local Los Angeles TV viewing area.
Angelica Montesano as Journey in Trilogy 1
Starting August 4th you’ll be seeing the first commercial television broadcast of The Journeys episode 1 of Trilogy 1 starring Angelica Montesano on KXLA TV and repeating on KVMD TV on August 5th. These two stations are called a ‘must carry’ station, meaning that no matter what cable or satellite service you have in your home, you’ll be able to view our programming. Check your local listings for channel number and time.
This is the first time that a web series production company has taken a series and transitioned it to commercial television with no outside investors or support. This was all done ‘in house’. We would like to thank John King, CFO of Cineplex Entertainment for taking on this project and making the dreams of all our cast members become reality. Cineplex Entertainment has undergone a tremendous amount of changes, equipment upgrades, software upgrades, corporate restructuring and not to mention mountains of legal work into the early morning hours to make all this happen. We are very grateful for his dedication, loyalty and commitment to Cineplex Entertainment.
Cineplex Entertainment Production Announcement
JoAnna Selby as Destiny
This week we have informed both the Circle of Influence and the Destiny cast that we will be merging the two series together to one show, Destiny starting with filming in September. The Destiny production starring JoAnna Selby, will retain the same cast and title. The Circle of Influence cast will blend into the Destiny story line with very minor casting changes. The producers will be Alexis Robertson, Holly Anderson and Dianna Bradford. The Executive Producer are: Fred Copeland & John King. In addition to this, there has been and continues to be ongoing casting for the new season that will premiere online at: www.cineplexstudios.com, followed by the commercial broadcast television premiere in fall/winter 2012 on KXLA TV & KVMD TV.
Episode 3, Circle of Influence will end that series which wraps filming this month. Within the next few weeks the web site will be updated showing the cast and characters of Destiny.
Cineplex Entertainment Opens Distribution to Producers
With the announcement of the commercial broadcast television deal, Cineplex Entertainment opens up to producers outside of Cineplex Entertainment to showcase web series, short films and web series. We have already been building our library of programming for both the online network and the commercial television channels. Roberta Sparta has been leading this project for Cineplex Entertainment. Cineplex Entertainment has put together and offers something that no other company does.
Our package includes:
*Show as streaming video on the home page of http://www.cineplexstudios.com for one week.
*Your own web page on www.cineplexstudios.com where your production will be hosted as video on demand.
*For LA based productions: interviews with the cast and crew of your production that will be shown online and on commercial broadcast television.

*Cross promoted on KXLA TV and KVMD TV in the Los Angeles viewing area.
*In additional to this, your production will be shown on KXLA TV and KVMD TV in the Los Angeles as part of the Cineplex Studios programming.

Cineplex Entertainment MENA
Cineplex Entertainment will also this week be signing another agreement to provide online streaming broadcast of Middle Eastern/North African programming to that region. A deal has been reached and to cross promote American programming to the Middle East and Middle East programming to the United States via our Live Stream video platform. Sandra Kawar, President of that region will be in charge of programming the CTVN MENA shows. The tentative launch date has been set for mid September.

Script development of the short feature Leilani has resumed. The story of Leilani is based on historical fact, taking place in current day Hawaii and deals with the little known Hawaiian sovereignty movement. The central theme to this short feature is the re-birth of Leilani who has the same royal blood as the last ruling Princess of Hawaii, Kaiulani. Leilani soon discovers her role in the world and now is about to embark on a most historic path to re-establish the Hawaiian monarchy and kingdom. Leilani stars Dianna Bradford, JoAnna Selby, Marie Lynn, Tony Swift, Christopher Swift and Amanda Copeland. Producers for Leilani are Fred Copeland, Marie Lynn, Dianna Bradford and Melvin G. Mason Jr. of Hawaii. Leilani will be filmed on the big island of Hawaii.
